Annie Rutherford makes things with words, and champions poetry and translation in all its guises. She is a translator, writer and project leader based in Edinburgh and is working towards setting up a writers in exile residency in Scotland. Her translations include collections by German/Swiss poet Nora Gomringer and Belarusian poet Volha Hapeyeva. Annie is a mentor for the Emerging Translator Mentorships at the National Centre for Writing, and is a 2025 translator-in-residence for the British Centre for Literary Translation.
