WU Xiujie translates academic works from German and English into Chinese. Currently, she is engaging to co-translate Chinese literature into German in tandem with native speakers. One of her most recent translations (together with Christoph Palm) is Die Erde bebt, a novel by the prominent writer Alai. She is also the first to translate Karl Kraus’s aphorism collection Nachts into Chinese.
