David Wagner

David Wagner has lived in Berlin since 1991. His best-selling novel Leben about a lifesaving organ transplant won the 2013 Leipzig Book Fair Prize and the Best Foreign Novel of the Year Award 2014in the People’s Republic of China. He has written extensively about Berlin in collections such as Mauer Park (2001) Welche Farbe hat Berlin (2011) and Verlaufen in Berlin (2021). In 2024 he published Verkin, a novel about the life and the adventures of a Turkish Armenian woman from Istanbul.
